Cereal & Milk Breakfast Popsicles
These popsicles might be one of the easiest & tastiest recipes I've ever discovered. Now I say breakfast because when I think of cereal I think breakfast, but really, these are good any time of the day! I used cheerios because Havana is currently obsessed but you can use whatever your favorite cereal is. The best part about these, you only need 3 ingredients!
1 cup of vanilla greek yogurt
3/4 cup of oat milk (or whatever your milk preference is)
roughly 1/2 cup of your favorite cereal
*makes 4 popsicles
You simply mix everything together, scoop into your popsicle mould (I find the silicone ones are best and easiest to pop out), freeze for a few hours (until hard) and you're good to go!
Now one thing I will say, if you're not a fan of the last few bites of cereal then these are not for you (I personally love when it gets a little soft). It's by no means soggy, just a little soft (which is perfect for the little ones!)
Aunty Angie is always a fan of a good frozen treat. Yogurt is great for many reasons, as we all probably know it's rich in probiotics which means it's great for your gut microbiome (aka your second brain). Now this is important because 70% of Serotonin (your "happy" hormone) is made in your gut. Greek yogurt in particular is also a great source of protein. Oat milk is a good source of the minerals manganese (contributes to many bodily functions), selenium (which plays a critical role in your metabolism) & phosphorus (helps build healthy bones & teeth). It's also a good source of magnesium - which helps you relax your muscles and can help alleviate headaches. So once again, you can feel good about letting your child have a healthy popsicle any time of the day!
